EADS, Colo. (AP) – Authorities are asking people in six counties on the Eastern Plains to be on the lookout for a man after his black SUV got stuck in a field.
Clark Nelson called 911 Sunday night from his cell phone and said he turned off on a dirt road and could not drive out. He has not been heard from since that time and authorities believe his cell phone is no longer working.
Based on cell phone data, authorities think Nelson is likely in Kiowa, Cheyenne, Lincoln or Kit Carson county in Colorado, or Wallace or Sherman county in Kansas.
The Colorado Civil Air Patrol says it plans to use planes to look for the man on Tuesday.
